CONTROLLER
Typical Duties of a Controller.
Planning, directing and coordinating all accounting operational functions.
Managing the accumulation and consolidation of all financial datanecessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results.
Coordinating activities of external auditors.
Providing management with information vital to the decision-making process.
Managing the budget process.
Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes.
Evaluating accounting and internal control systems.
Evaluating the effectiveness of accounting software and supporting database, as needed.
Developing and monitoring business performance metrics.
Overseeing regulatory reporting, frequently including tax planning and compliance.
Reconcile Bank accounts, prepare month/year end closing.
Analyze accounts, record in the general ledger and post journal entries.
Possess excellent interpersonal skills communicating and ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with other members of the team.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, one should have proven written and verbal communication skills, the ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, and have the capability to work with assigned clients in a professional manner to complete their responsibilities while identifying additional revenue generating opportunities.
This position requires someone who has strong attention to detail and a strong sense of urgency in order to handle a variety of different projects at the same time.
Prior public accounting experience is beneficial, and a minimum of a four-year degree in Accounting along with applicable employment experience.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis and have reliable transportation in order to travel between client locations.
